Sustainable luxury is Zd
Sustainable luxury or traditional luxury?
When we think of traditional luxury, we associate it with high purchasing power, excessive prices, exclusivity, ostentation or pleasure. But if we think of sustainable luxury we associate it only with environmental care.
This is how we have been taught so far in magazines or on television, but this should start to change because it is not entirely true.
In Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina’s series for Netflix. He said that true luxury is within everyone’s reach… Meaning that we can all equally enjoy “nature”.
He is absolutely right that nature is a luxury within our reach, but it is also in our hands to take care of it, and the series does not reflect this.
The series features planes, yachts, continuous travel, houses, many cars… some with several exhaust pipes. So this is the kind of luxury they show on television, and a luxury that looks quite old. But nowadays, the idea of associating luxury with care for the planet is beginning to be contemplated. This is a major unfinished business.
If we think about fashion, wearing a brand simply because of its quality or design is no longer justifiable or applicable to luxury fashion. Because to be true luxury, environmental responsibility towards future generations should be implicit.

Sustainable luxury What does it mean?
Sustainable luxury means that there is a story behind it. For example, giving products a lasting soul. Because sustainable luxury is capable of creating products with the same qualities as traditional luxury goods. It is able to maintain creativity, design and quality, but also to do so in an ethical way. Being respectful of the environment and people.
Zero Defects carries sustainable luxury at its core in the creation of its products.
It is not something that was intentionally sought after. This has been the case for 100 years and that is why we have kept “made in Spain” on our label all this time.
Because it means having ethical control over the entire value chain, especially with people, materials, manufacturing and the environment.
That is why it is worthwhile for you to get to know our value chain and to be able to value us as an ethical and fairly priced company.
Zero Defects Value Chain
The Zero defects philosophy is to create garments with exquisite design and quality. Promoting values such as sustainability and socio-economic dynamisation of our environment.
Our underwear is made from exceptional materials such as Scottish yarn, organic cotton and soya.
Our workmanship is very careful and we pay special attention to durability. Using the concept of “less is better”, thinking in short collections and always controlling that there is no surplus stock or waste.
Our garments are difficult to copy, that’s why they have an added value. But they also have sustainability built in. Because they last over time if you take care of them.
It has been 100 years since we started creating underwear. The garments of yesteryear were not intended to be sustainable, but they always have been.

Sustainable luxury future
The environment is a topical issue and defines the times we live in. Young consumers are concerned about their future; they support companies with environmental values and avoid buying from those that do not.
That is why the major firms are already committed to sustainable luxury and have begun to create garments and collections whose main premise is respect for the environment.
Zero defects has been a benchmark in the field of sustainable luxury and continues to be so. Because from the beginning he eliminated everything superficial, striving to keep the workforce local, using only sustainable materials and keeping his eyes wide open to develop new materials.
We have managed to get ahead with effort and ecological awareness. Simply seeking excellence and guided by values that have nothing to do with price or fierce consumerism.
Consumer sensitivities have changed, especially among young people. Because they take climate change seriously, they are aware of pollution, deforestation and the degradation of nature.
Coco Chanel once said “Luxury begins where necessity ends”.
We agree, because we think it is a necessity to make sustainable clothes and buy responsibly and because we think sustainability is the ultimate luxury.
